Chris Scheurich and Ali McNally have lived in the Uptown neighborhood of New Orleans for four years. They are lifelong musicians, extremely stylish dressers and (I can personally attest to them being) kind people. They’re also the co-owners ofNeon Heart, a boutique selling unique-to-New Orleans home goods and accessories (and Chris does custom framing). Boththeir house tourandAli’s fashion profileare stylish, so it was a no–brainer to ask them for a well-designed day in New Orleans. They write: “One of our favorite things about living in New Orleans is being able to share it with others, whether it be visiting guests or the readers of Apartment Therapy!”

10:30amOn our off days, after waking up and making breakfast at home, we like to hit the gym.杜兰大学的雷伊中心is close to our place, has state of the art facilities as well as an Olympic-size pool. We try to mix up our workouts to keep them interesting: boxing, running, spinning, swimming, weights, circuit training…the variety makes it harder to get bored.

1:00pm.After a post-workout shower, we head to@superfoodbar_neworleansfor a lunchtime smoothie. This vegan eatery is one of our favorites as it is totally committed to providing organic, healthy, delicious food.

3:00pm.After lunch we take a drive out to browse our favorite antique store,Renaissance Interiors. A lot of the furnishings and knickknacks both in our home and boutique come from this wonderful place. The owner is constantly sourcing incredible items from Europe (as well as locally) so you never know what you will find.

5:00pm.When the sun starts to die down a bit, we like to take our pet Chihuahua, Kitty, to play inAudubon Park. It’s beautiful and tranquil here: ancient live oaks overhang a lagoon filled with ducks, swans and geese. There is also a great jogging path we often utilize. 8:00pm.@baoandnoodleopened in New Orleans at the end of 2014. Everything here is delicious: the scallion pancakes, the bao, the noodles which are made by hand, in-house.

Bonus:A NOLA Street Sneak Peek!

Chris and Ali strapped a GoPro to their dashboard to show readers a sneak peek of driving through New Orleans’ gorgeous, sun-dappled Oak-lined streets during the day, and the fast-paced, brightly colored French Quarter’s narrow streets by night.

The aforementioned scallion pancakes at@baoandnoodleWe love the food here so much that the owner, Doug Crowell, even catered our wedding rehearsal dinner last year.

9:30pm. As we had a friend in town from Toronto who is a big fan of the showTreme, we decided to take him toCandlelight Lounge. TheTreme Brass Bandplays here every Wednesday night and the $10 cover is totally worth it.

The eight-to-10-pieceTreme Brass Bandplays sets late into the night, to the delight of the crowd.

Our “well-designed day” neighborhood guides are a visual tour of what a great day looks like from the perspective of a local.

You’ve loved the peeks inside gorgeous homes from around the world, so we thought we’d ask house tour stars to share theirotherhomes—the neighborhoods and cities they live in. These are the stylish, colorful, bold and fun spaces that these locals would visit if they were designing a great day of stopping at favorite spots (or lounging around at home!). You can follow on ourInstagramas we post images from their well-designed day and read more aboutthis series.

Thanks, Ali and Chris!
