If you’ve been yearning for nostalgia lately, then this DIY project is for you. After finding a pack of faux Froot Loops on Etsy, TikToker Kaarin Joy (@kaarinjoy) created an incredibly appetizing mirror. And because TikTok has a love forfood-shaped decor, her video has garnered over 1.3 million likes — and she’s made more.

Kaarin used a package of resin Froot Loops, similar to thosesold by SBNCraftSupplies on Etsy, a tub of lightweight spackle (using the “lightweight” formula is important if you want to hang the finished product on the wall), acircular mirror, and a plastic bowl and spoon.

To assemble, Kaarin simply dumped the spackle into her bowl, spread it out to make it look like milk, and added her mirror, Froot Loops, and spoon into the mixture. According to Kaarin, the hardest part of this DIY is waiting for the spackle to dry.

Since she used the lightweight spackle formula, Kaarin was able to hang it with theCommand Velcro stripsthat can hold up to 16 pounds.

Following the popular Froot Loop mirror, she started experimenting with other cereals, includingCinnamon Toast Crunch. For this mirror, she used actual cereal bits and then sealed the whole thing with a clear resin topcoat to preserve them. She also noted that her bowl was primarily filled with foam so she didn’t have to use so much spackle this time.

Now that she’s mastered the art of cereal bowl mirrors, Kaarin cannot be stopped. She’s done a Lucky Charms mirror, mac and cheese mirror, and a smoothie bowl mirror — which she happens to be selling through herInstagram.

Who needs a small vanity mirror when Kaarin’s sweet DIYs exist? Cereal-lously, it’s hard to imagine not having one of these mirrors in your home.
