Much like their East Nashville storeWonders on Woodland, Wayne and Debbie’s home is a wonder. A wonder filled home of art, style, and whimsy. Everywhere you look there’s something interesting. You want to hear the story behind every piece. And there truly is a story behind everything…
For every anniversary, they’ve bought something for their home (they’ve been married for 39 years). In their dining room is a sugar chest they bought at an auction 30 years ago. They only had a two seater sports car at the time and it was raining, so getting it home was quite the challenge! The twin beds in one of the guest bedrooms belonged to Wayne and his brother. One was made by his grandfather for his mother, and the other was a duplicate his mother had made for Wayne. Then there’s the teal handmade North Carolina cupboard. Wayne said if they packed up tomorrow, that’s the one thing Debbie would insist on bringing.
The couple have a real love of mid century furniture. Makers like Baughman, Wegner, Bertoia, Herman Miller, and many more grace their home. They mix these mid century items with primitives, and a vast collection of outsider art. Proving once again that as long as you love it, the styles will work together.

GALLERY –Fabulous North Carolina cupboard allhandmade including the hinges, the hatstand was a gift for Mike Wolfe – the ultimate picker! Hans Wegner Papa Bear Chair, American paintings by our nephews and niece.
BREAKFAST NOOK –Tomato Girls painting by Sheila B
BEDROOM –Queen Size bed by EA Clore 1975— our first purchase as a married couple!
