Name:Brittany Cobb of Flea Style

Location:Dallas, Texas

Out with the new and in with the old! The transposed popular saying is the core of Brittany Cobb’sFlea Style. Brittany’s childhood was in many ways spent as a business tutorial and foreshadowing of what was to come. At an early age, she was exposed to a love of unique and vintage finds thanks to her mom who would set up shop at a local antique mall with her daughter happily in tow. Years later, the Southern California cool-girl traded beaches for boots and settled in Texas where she attended college and eventually went on to become a lifestyle writer. Flash forward to present day and thanks to her editor’s eye and eclectic style, Flea Style—a brand that curates indoor markets across the country featuring local artisans, shops and tastemakers—was born.

Wishing to infuse as much personality into her office as her brand has to the flea market scene, here’s how Brittany mastered the space.

At the very heart of Flea Style is a pronounced love for the unique. “The company is all about handmade, vintage and one-of-a-kind lifestyle goods. It’s important to me that our office reflects our tagline and mission,” says Brittany. Looking around, it’s apparent there wasn’t a corner that didn’t a get touch of the signature look: one-of-a-kind colorful artwork, lamps that’ll make you go ga-ga, and plenty of textile goodness to go around.

But what about that gorgeous cognac campaign desk? “It’s my work, lunch, and conference table! I live at my desk most days doing everything from crafting emails to meeting with employees and vendors. I’ve added elements that are comforting and inspiring to me: a vintage Moroccan rug from my travels, a desklampwith warm light, and cool handmade pottery for pens, so the space is inviting and warm and I don’t mind logging loads of miles there,” Brittany reveals.

When it comes to vintage pieces though, be wary of wobbly furniture and small-scale pieces, she advises. A sturdy desk andchair布列塔尼的两个时必须的吗comes to a functional office. For a similar look, she recommends this paintedversionfrom Land of Nod that has just enough brass detailing and style to go around.

A look-at-me rug makes any room exciting. In the Flea Style office, Brittany chose to mix-and-match patterns and sizes atop the concrete floor for both functional and aesthetic reasons. “I wanted lots of rugs to keep the noise at bay since our ceilings are soaring and our floors are concrete. So many sources sell Moroccan rugs and inspired styles today from Overstock.com to Pottery Barn to eBay.”

If you’re on the hunt for pieces that’ll help you create a similar look to Cobb’s oh-so-fabulous space, she recommends some of her favorite local hot spots. “For unique and vintage finds, I likeWhite Elephant,Scout Design, Shop Vintage Dallas, andVinya. For the typical office furnishing stuff I love Target, The Container Store, HomeGoods, Overstock, West Elm and Pottery Barn Teen,” adds Brittany, “I think it’s important to thrift and splurge when you want to create a decor mix; it’s part of the equation for achieving an authentic layered look. Keep in mind composition, color depth and scale. After that, have fun and don’t over think it!”
