Good News, Disney Fans: Pyrex Just Launched a Limited-Edition Mickey Mouse Collection

The state of Disney’s theme parks remains up in the air as COVID-19 makes its way around the country, but for fans of Micky Mouse, there’s a new way to bring the favorite character home that doesn’t involve picking up a set of ears at the gift shop: on a set of Pyrex containers.

Everybody’s favorite mouse will be showing up on a set of glass storage containers in a variety of shapes and sizes in the special-edition collection that’s now on sale onPyrex’s website. The limited-time collection brings a variety of different designs, including Mickey with “The True Original”、“Since 1928,” and his catchphrase, “Oh Boy!” along with dots and lids in bright, fun colors.

While, as the set mentions, Mickey has been around since 1928, Pyrex, the clear kitchenware made from low-thermal-expansion glass, has been around even longer: It was invented in 1915. Both of the brands have been staples of the American house and had a similar iconic and beloved place there. “Similar to Pyrex, Mickey Mouse is timeless and has spread joy to families for generations,” explained Ben Gadbois, CEO of Corelle Brands, about why the partnership worked out.
