Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: First of all, we are people full of energy and ideas. We are never bored — I love to paint, sew, decorate our home, restore furniture, and take care of plants. Martin likes DIY and woodwork.
我们also share the same passions, which we try to give our children. Our main goal for this year is to improve our garden. New plants and vegetable garden — that’s all we dream of.
I am inspired by a lot of different things. I find inspiration everyday in art, nature, tradition, folklore, and history.
If there is something that I like a lot — I have to have that in my house. There is no time where I think “Oh, it’s not going to fit my house’s style” — I just have to figure something out to make it work.
Describe your home’s style in 5 words or less:Eclectic, farmhouse, boho
你最喜欢的房间是什么,为什么?我没有最喜欢的房间。每个房间都是进口ant to me and I feel good in every one of them. I put a lot of heart in every piece of my house.
What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home?I try to buy as little as possible. Most of the furniture and home decor elements I get from secondhand stores because a zero-waste philosophy is very close to me. My husband also helps me with the renovation of old furniture we get from people who wanted to get rid of them.
Any advice for creating a home you love?Don’t think that decorating your home is a process that will come to an end someday. It’s a long-lasting process, which sometimes requires you to take some risk. You shouldn’t listen to people who tell you that something is not going to work — you should try it on your own and have fun of doing it.
