Even though we’ve got a ways to go,women designersare starting to be recognized more for their influential work—and we’re making sure of thathere at Apartment Therapy. And with Women’s History Month right around the corner, one company is thinking outside the box—and on the bottle—with splashy designs inspired by women artists.

As of today, methodis rolling out its newly designed bottles that celebrate three inspiring artists:Marguerita Mergentime,Ilonka Karasz, andBarbara White. The company partnered with the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, to make colorful designs come to life on the method bottles, which are being sold at Target (online and in-stores) as well as the SHOP Cooper Hewitt museum store in NYC.

每个瓶子的描述设计灵感来自the artist’s work, which were pulled from the Cooper Hewitt’s collection. “These women transcended the stereotypes of their generations and made a lasting impact on the design world,” says Caroline Baumann, Director of Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, in a press release. “Showcasing these stunning textiles and drawings from 1930-1970 on the bottles brings powerful design right into homes across America, advancing the public understanding and appreciation of design thinking.”

Method made sure the scents were connected to the designs, too, tying it all back to the significant impact the three women have had throughout history. White’s bottle design, for example, is connected to her unique techniques of glass mono-printing and paper folding, and so the whimsical pattern with bright colors is accompanied by a zingy citrus scent of orange and lemon.

如果你是位于纽约和购买其中之一bottles in the Cooper Hewitt design store, 100% of the proceeds will go toward Cooper Hewitt’s mission to “educate, inspire, and empower communities through design.” Soap for a good cause? We’ll raise a bottle to that!
