Less than a year ago, Miley Cyrusdropped $4.95 millionon a 6,800-square-foot mansion with preppy East Coast vibes in the Hidden Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, and the superstar clearly didn’t waste any time getting the home Mileyfied.

On Thursday, the 28 year old revealed the bohemian eclectic masterpiece viaArchitectural Digest, which was designed by her mother,Tish Cyrus, and design partner Mat Sanders, to suit the star’s wild energy. That meant Gucci tiger wallpaper and a brightly hued peacock chair, among other things.

“我最大的问题是,当你走进someone’s house, I want you to know who lives there, what their personality is, what they love, and what they’re like. I know Miley so well, and we’re so close, so I was really able to do that,” Tish toldADabout the home’s inspiration. “My wheelhouse is very muchboho chic. In my own house, I like everything neutral. But with Miley, it’s got to feel rock and roll. There’s a lot of color. Technicolor.”

There are a few key design elements that perfectly demonstrate Cyrus’ unique style. The first is an avian-inspired sitting surface. “I spend a lot of my time in that chair with my dogs—some people call it the peacock chair, some people call it the clam chair,” Miley gushed over herAnemone swivel chair by Giancarlo Zema for Giovanett, which is colored in pinks, purples, and blues.

While the chair is definitely the statement piece in the open space, it is also furnished with an ultra-modern blue sectional and a few of Miley’s “favorite things” — including a bunch of Dan Lam’s drippy sculptures, a still life painting by Takashi Murakami, and aGulla Jonsdottir Puzzle table.

The next standout detail in the home happens to be the star’s powder room, which boldly featuresGucci’s iconic tiger face wallpaper. “Miley had told me that when you’re in this bathroom, it should be an experience,” Tish said. “I was a little scared, but we went all in. When we put the finishing touches of the horsehair sconces in, it was like, Wow, it works and it’s awesome.”

Tish added a 1970s brass and Murano glass mirror over a custom marble vanity outfitted with anIsla faucet from Waterworks. Insider tip: If you aren’t quite daring enough to go full bold wallpaper in your space, order a roll or two and frame some panels to hang on your wall.

However, Miley isn’t too worried about taking maximalism to the, well, max. “My mom believes that nothing is permanent, that there’s nothing that can’t be undone,” she said. “People make bold choices in their lives, and sometimes those gambles work and bring you good fortune, and sometimes they don’t. But it’s a risk she’s willing—and I’m willing—to take in our lifestyle, and that is reflected in the design.”

Clearly, those risks paid off. To see more of Miley’s technicolor home, head on over toArchitectural Digest.
