Maxwell's Daily Find: Home Goods Roundup

There are so many artisans worldwide that we stumble upon everyday — from randomEtsysearches to popular websites likeSociety6.我是如此兴奋上周的Instagram停下来ry because I got to feature not just one but FOUR makers whose products really caught my eye. Watch my video above and read on below to see why I chose these incredibly eye-catching, alternative housewares for today’s Daily Find.

Shop all the collections:Frank Moth,Adaralbion Design,ZigZag Studio, andAelfie!

I’m sure you have all seen Society6’s round-ups. This site’s wide selection of artisans includes everything from custom art prints to iPhone cases. I happened to see a list of outer space-themed products and couldn’t help but get some here for the office. TheWe Used To Live There throw pillowcomes from Frank Moth, a design duo based in Greece. I love how unexpected this pillow is — you certainly don’t often see a modern art print like this on soft goods in the home. I coupled it with theGalaxy Next Door bedspreadfrom Florence-based designer Adaralbion which just felt fitting. I can see this playful, dreamy design working perfectly on the beds of adults and children alike.

My third find came to us from Monika Martin ofZigZag Studio Designsbased in Washington, DC. The description she wrote for her Etsy shop tells her story much better than I can:

“Live an inspired life” is my personal motto and one I have used in creating my shop, Zigzag Studio. Everything starts from a thought. I look at each day as an opportunity for new thoughts, ideas and creative inspiration. My collection of pillows and poufs is inspired by our surroundings and my own curiosity.

Her work is modern, geometric, and created with a great attention to quality and detail. Any part of her collection would be a charming addition to your home — I personally have had this pouf and pillow in my office for weeks and its multi-textile design fit in seamlessly with my style. The pouf in particular is made of incredibly dense foam that is also super comfortable. I can see it working perfectly as a chair, foot rest, side table, or ottoman in just about any room of the house. And best of all, Monika takes custom orders! You can truly make any of her pieces your own.

Last but certainly not least, I chose to feature the Brooklyn-based designer Aelfie Oudghiri — whose collection is just funky across the board! While she might be best known for her incrediblecollection of rugs, she also has creations for the home that go well beyond the floor. This gorgeousMirah Geo side tableand this hilariousOh Hi There pilloware truly just the tip of the iceberg. She has made an amazing business out of using age-old techniques to create modern home goods and I haven’t seen anything quite like it before. No matter what you choose for your home from her selection, it is certain to start a conversation and tell a story.
