Spring is right around the corner and it’s arguably the most beautiful season of all. And with spring comes flowers. Adding flowers, or other organic material, to a space is an instant way to make it feel fresh and alive. The best part? Many can be found right outside your door, or down the street. Take meandering walks and find the hopeful harbingers of spring — like little violets, coltsfoot, chickweed, and buttercups. No matter where you live, you will see pretty little wildflowers poking their heads up in the most random places. Here are some great, do-able ways to grab a small bit of spring and invite it inside.

Opt for Simple

Simple is best. Here in this 70s style bedroom, Anne Lee opted for single palm leafs to make the entire room feel like an dreamy tropical escape. As featured onDesign*Sponge.

Let Loose

Wildflowers, like ranunculus, paired with whatever greenery you can find on hand, will create a whimsical little bouquet that will not only look fantastic but have your space smelling fresh. These look amazing againstJenni’s dark green paneled wall.

Think Seasonally

One of the first flowers to bloom in the spring — tulips — look beautiful both opened or closed. Grab a handful, throw them into a glass vase, and enjoy (just don’t go plucking these from someone else’s yard….)! The white ones in this gorgeous bedroom fromStudio McGeeadd just enough life and texture, without detracting from the rest of the room.

Go Green

When it comes to adding greenery to your space, don’t feel that you have to stick to flowers. Some budding branches or even sprigs of greenery — like these styled byEmily Henderson— can still upgrade your space and make it feel more like spring. (Also lead image above.)

Get Creative

Get creative with how you display your florals. In this case, Urban Outfitters New York used flowers to create a beautiful headboard aboveMallory’s bedfor a photo shoot, then left them up for her enjoyment. Using flowers that dry nicely makes this a DIY project that can stay up for months — and seriously, how dang cute is it?
