戏剧性的黑暗墙壁有一个时刻演员Tia Mowrycould certainly attest to this bold design choice. The “Sister, Sister” star has been giving fans a glimpse of the interiors of her California home through various Instagram selfies and videos, unwittingly making the case for black wall paint along the way. White walls make a room feel larger, yes, but there’s no denying the power of black walls. It’s a timeless color, after all, and could provide a sophisticated and modern finish to any space when done right. In the abode that Mowry shares with husband Cory Hardrict and their two children, it’s oh so right.

The star’s bedroom and master bath are both painted in the timeless shade. In the bath, the brick walls are black while the tiled floors are a clean bright white, offering a striking juxtaposition. Neutral warm browns are sprinkled throughout with a rug, a wicker basket, and a couch, making the space feel warm despite the dramatic wall coloring. A white tub and white window shades finish off the room. In her bedroom, too, Mowry went all in and kept everything the same dark hue.

Still, it works because the walls are contrasted with clean white bedding and a neutral rug, completed with white art prints on the walls. We’ve covered this stunning wall trend extensively, offering ways to zhuzh up ablack living roomandblack bedroom, so Mowry’s design choices are sparking so much joy.

The actor’s designer prowess comes as no surprise. Mowry launched a home goods collection with Etsy in August that includes kitchenware, art prints, and more. “I’m someone who loves decor that’s both beautiful and functional,” she toldCleverof the collection, adding that she hopes it “helps others bring to life their own interpretation of a relaxing oasis,” as well as “create a comfortable and inviting space where they can focus on spending quality time with loved ones.”
